Travel Med Surg RN in Cookeville, TN

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients with medical, comfort care, inpatient oncology, and radiation needs in an acute care hospital medical unit on a 13-week contract in Cookeville, Tennessee. The unit uses Paragon charting and averages 30 patients with 32 beds and ratios of 1:5-6. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and monitor adult medical-surgical and oncology patients
• Administer medications, treatments, and supportive therapies
• Coordinate care with therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Paragon
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge needs
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate concerns as needed

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee
• BLS
• 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience

• ACLS
• Chemotherapy administration
