Travel Maternal-Newborn RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Maternal Newborn Registered Nurse will provide postpartum and newborn care in a mother baby unit on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit has 34 private couplet rooms, typical ratios of 1:3-4 couplets, and uses Cerner. The setting supports family education and coordinated care for mothers and infants.

• Assess mothers and newborns and document changes in condition
• Provide postpartum care for couplets and support recovery
• Educate families on newborn care, feeding, and discharge readiness
• Assist with newborn circumcision care and postprocedure monitoring
• Monitor patients receiving magnesium sulfate after delivery
• Collaborate with the care team to maintain safe, coordinated nursing care

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP
• Mother baby experience
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program

• Travel experience
• Care of patients receiving magnesium sulfate after delivery
• STABLE certification
