Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Seattle, WA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide high-acuity obstetric care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Seattle, Washington. The unit is high-risk and high-volume, uses Epic charting, has 31 rooms and 31 beds, and serves diverse obstetric and newborn populations. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Circulate for cesarean births and other operative deliveries
• Provide newborn care during delivery and through transfer to postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and assist with electronic fetal monitoring
• Support high-risk labor management and respond to changes in condition
• Perform newborn assessment, thermoregulation, and APGAR scoring
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cord collection, and postpartum recovery care
• Support medication management for insulin, magnesium, and oxytocin therapies

• Washington Registered Nurse license or compact license accepted
• BLS and NRP
• 3 years of high-acuity, fast-paced labor and delivery experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience caring for 1:2 patient ratios
• High-risk obstetrics and newborn care experience

• ACLS
• AWHONN Advanced certification
• Obstetrical triage experience
• Nitrous oxide experience
