Travel Intermediate Care RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will care for adults and older patients in a short term acute care hospital on a 13 week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The unit has 32 beds, averages 30 patients, and uses Epic charting. It serves a Level II trauma center.

• Monitor intermediate care patients with cardiac, respiratory and neurologic needs
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips and support telemetry monitoring
• Provide post cath lab, TAVR and post cardiac surgery care
• Manage tracheostomy, ventilator and noninvasive airway support
• Perform sheath removal, line care and medication administration
• Respond to dysrhythmias, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD and acute changes

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• 2+ years of progressive care or intermediate care experience
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, ventilated patients and Level II trauma care

• CPI certification
• Epic charting experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching or community hospital experience
