Travel Infection Control RN in Orange, CA

A Travel Infection Control Registered Nurse will support infection prevention in an acute care hospital on a 29-week contract in Orange, California. The unit serves adolescents, adults and geriatrics, uses Epic and supports independent work in a Magnet hospital.

• Monitor healthcare-associated infections and trends
• Apply CDC guidelines and transmission-based precautions
• Review hand hygiene, isolation and exposure practices
• Educate staff on infection prevention standards
• Support surveillance, reporting and documentation
• Collaborate on cleaning and reprocessing practices

• 1 year of current infection prevention experience in acute care
• CIC certification
• Acute care hospital experience
• Knowledge of CDC guidelines and HAI surveillance

• Epic charting system experience
• Antibiotic stewardship and MDRO management
• Device reprocessing and environmental cleaning
• CMS and The Joint Commission standards familiarity
