Travel Infection Control RN in Orange, CA

A Travel Infection Prevention Registered Nurse will support infection prevention activities in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Orange, California. Epic charting is used, the hospital is Magnet, and the unit serves adolescents, adults, and geriatrics; first-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor infection prevention practices across the unit
• Track healthcare-associated infections and trends
• Educate staff on hand hygiene and isolation precautions
• Support surveillance, reporting, and data review
• Assist with CDC-based prevention measures
• Collaborate on cleaning, device, and exposure prevention

• Current CIC certification
• 1 year of current infection prevention experience
• Acute care hospital experience
• Bachelor's degree in public health, laboratory sciences, microbiology, or related health science field

• Epic charting system experience
• NHSN surveillance and disease reporting
• Antibiotic stewardship and MDRO management
