Travel ICU RN in Fishers, IN

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a hospital on a 12-week contract in Fishers, Indiana. The unit cares for ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKI, UTI and acute shock, with Cerner charting and typical ratios of 1:2 in ICU, 1:4 in PCU and 1:4 in MS.

• Monitor critically ill and progressive care patients
• Manage ventilators, oxygen support and suctioning
• Titrate vasoactive, cardiac and sedation infusions
• Assess dysrhythmias, ABGs and 12-lead ECGs
• Administer blood products, insulin protocols and emergency medications
• Support arterial lines, central lines, ports and PICC care
• Assist with chest tubes, procedural sedation and cardiac procedures

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• 3 years of intensive care or progressive care experience
• Ventilator, arterial line, central line and cardiac drip management
• Experience with ABGs, dysrhythmias and critical care interventions

• CVICU or medical ICU experience
• FloTrac/Vigileo, Impella or IABP experience
• Swan Ganz monitoring and multisystem organ dysfunction care
• Previous charge nurse experience
• Cerner charting experience
