Travel ICU RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for complex patients in an acute hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The unit serves adolescents, adults and geriatrics with medical cardiac, surgical cardiac, stroke, sepsis and trauma needs, uses Epic charting, and is a Magnet Level II trauma hospital.

• Monitor critically ill adolescents, adults and geriatric patients
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP and high-flow oxygen support
• Administer arterial line, central line and PICC care
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Assist with chest tube care, sheath removal and cardiac cath recovery
• Track neurologic, respiratory and hemodynamic changes in Epic

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS
• Two years of intensive care unit experience
• Epic charting experience
• Critical care experience with ventilator management, arterial lines and vasoactive drips
• Prior travel experience

• TNCC
• Neuro intensive care experience
• Post-cardiac surgery experience
• External ventricular drain and intra-aortic balloon pump experience
