Travel Histology Tech in Coos Bay, OR

A Travel Histology Technician will prepare tissue specimens in an acute care hospital setting for a 13-week contract in Coos Bay, Oregon. The role supports tissue processing, embedding, staining, microtomy, and quality checks using LIS and HIS systems.

• Process and prepare tissue specimens for analysis
• Embed tissue and operate freezing and cutting equipment
• Stain, coverslip, and mount slides for review
• Track specimens and records in LIS and HIS systems
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and specimen workflow
• Support quality control and safe handling practices

• Active Oregon state license
• BLS certification
• Histology technician registry or equivalent
• Less than 1 year of histology experience
• Experience with LIS and HIS systems
