Travel Histology Tech in Atlanta, GA

A Travel Histology Tech Histotechnologist will prepare and process surgical specimens in a pathology laboratory within an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Atlanta, Georgia. The lab handles pathology, cytology and IHC specimens, with accessioning in Cerner and work in tissue processing and slide preparation.

• Receive and accession surgical specimens
• Collect tissue blocks from pathology staff
• Process tissue for embedding, cutting and slide staining
• Prepare slides for pathology, cytology and IHC review
• Track specimen flow through the histology lab

• ASCP HT or HLT certification
• Formal histology technologist training program completion or associate's degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences
• 2 years of pathology laboratory experience in histology
