Travel CVICU RN in Torrance, CA

A Travel CVICU Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics in a cardiovascular intensive care unit on a 13-week contract in Torrance, California. The unit has 12 beds and an average daily census of 9, with patients recovering from valves, CABGs, TAVRs, STEMIs and IABP support.

• Monitor critically ill cardiac patients in the CVICU
• Manage ventilators, vasoactive infusions and continuous IV sedation
• Assist with central line placement, arterial line care and chest tube management
• Support care for CABG, valve repair, TAVR, STEMI, IABP and ECMO patients
• Administer blood products and follow hemodynamic monitoring protocols
• Interpret dysrhythmias and maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• 2 years of CVICU experience
• Ventilator management, central line care and arterial line management
• Cardiac drip titration and dysrhythmia interpretation
• CVVHD/CRRT, IABP and blood product administration

• Epic charting experience
• ECMO care
• Post cardiac surgery experience
• Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
