Travel CVICU RN in Des Moines, IA

A Travel CVICU Registered Nurse will care for cardiac surgical patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Des Moines, Iowa. The unit supports high-acuity postoperative and intensive care needs for cardiac surgery patients.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status
• Assess postoperative recovery and change in condition
• Administer medications and support ICU therapies
• Coordinate care with surgeons and the care team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient response
• Educate patients and families on recovery needs

• Iowa Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
• NIH Stroke Scale competency
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program

• Trauma Nursing Core Course certification
