Travel Correctional RN in Nashville, TN

A Travel Correctional Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in a locked hospital unit in Nashville, Tennessee on a 13-week contract. The unit has 16 beds, serves a forensic population, and uses Cerner. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess incarcerated patients in a secure unit and identify changes in condition
• Administer medications and carry out ordered nursing treatments
• Monitor telemetry and report dysrhythmias or other clinical changes
• Coordinate care with providers and support patient communication
• Use interpretation services to support patient education
• Document care accurately in Cerner

• Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• CPI certification or MAB
• 1 year of experience
• Cerner charting experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management

• Telemetry experience
• Chemotherapy administration
• Charge nurse experience
