Travel Cath Lab Tech in Fredericksburg, VA

A Travel Cath Lab Tech will assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The unit serves adults and geriatrics in a Level II trauma center and uses Epic. STEMI call and structural heart cases are part of the setting.

• Scrub for diagnostic and interventional cath lab cases
• Assist with left and right heart catheterizations, PCI and PTCA
• Support structural heart and vascular procedures, including TAVR, Watchman and carotid work
• Prepare access sites, maintain sterile field and set up equipment
• Monitor rhythms and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
• Assist with IABP, Impella and vascular closure systems
• Participate in STEMI call coverage and team-based case flow

• BLS
• ACLS
• CCI RCIS
• 2 years of cath lab experience
• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience
• Rhythm monitoring, EKG lead placement and sterile technique skills

• Epic charting system experience
• TAVR experience
• ASD closure experience
• Temporary pacemaker experience
