Travel Cardiac Cath Lab RN in Houston, TX

A Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse will assist with invasive cardiac procedures in a hospital in Houston, Texas, on a 13-week contract. The unit has 3 procedure rooms, uses MERGE Hemo and Meditech Expanse, and works with Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment. The team performs left and right heart caths, device implants, vascular cases and EP ablations.

• Assist with left and right heart catheterizations
• Support pacemaker, ICD and Watchman procedures
• Prepare patients and equipment for vascular and EP cases
• Monitor patients during moderate sedation and procedural care
• Document procedure data in the cath lab record
• Follow universal precautions and timeout procedures

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Cardiac procedural patient monitoring skills

• Electrophysiology experience
