Travel Cardiac Cath Lab RN in Carmel, IN

A Travel Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse will support procedural care in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Carmel, Indiana. The unit serves adolescents through geriatrics, averages 5-7 patients daily, and uses Cerner.

• Circulate for interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor patients during conscious sedation and procedural care
• Assist with vascular access, drain placement and tube procedures
• Support left and right heart catheterizations and STEMI cases
• Prepare supplies, medications and hemodynamic equipment
• Document procedural findings and patient response in the charting system

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• 1 year of interventional radiology or cardiac cath lab experience
• Experience with procedural sedation and circulating in cath lab or IR
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional catheterization, venous access, embolization and thrombectomy procedures

• Cerner charting system experience
• EP lab experience, pacemaker insertion and AICD programming
• Cardiac ablation and stent graft placement
• Starting and maintaining IV access
