A Per Diem Pathology Assistant Pathologists Assistant will support specimen processing and documentation in an acute care hospital in Marina Del Rey, California, using Epic.

• Assist with specimen gross examination and tissue processing
• Prepare and label pathology specimens for pathologist review
• Document specimen details and maintain accurate records
• Coordinate specimen flow with laboratory and surgical teams
• Communicate specimen status and workflow needs with the lab team
• Follow quality, safety, and infection control standards
• Support problem solving for specimen handling and lab workflow

• 1 year of recent Pathology Assistant experience
• Bachelor degree or higher in Health Science
• PA (ASCP) certification
• Accurate specimen handling and documentation skills
