Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Spokane, WA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will support respiratory diagnostics and patient care in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Spokane, Washington. The unit serves adolescents, adults, pediatrics and geriatrics, uses Epic, and works at a teaching, Level II trauma and Level II pediatric trauma center with a 1:11 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess respiratory status and respond to changes in condition
• Administer aerosol therapies, oxygen support and inhaled medications
• Assist with airway management, tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Interpret ABGs and support ventilator management and weaning
• Provide pulmonary hygiene and sputum collection support
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment and alarms
• Support trauma and rapid response care for pediatric and adult patients

• Washington Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• BLS certification
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• 2 years of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
• Tracheostomy care, aerosol therapy, BiPAP, CPAP and ABG interpretation skills

• ACLS and PALS certification
• Pediatric and adolescent respiratory care experience
• Ventilator troubleshooting and weaning experience
• Trauma, rapid response and teaching hospital experience
