Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for neuro and trauma patients in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit has 44 beds, uses Cerner, and works with 4:1 ratios that can stretch to 5:1.

• Monitor neuro and spinal status and report changes
• Provide care for progressive care patients with IV infusions and blood products
• Assist with chest tube, PCA pump and feeding tube management
• Support patients using trachs, C-collars and TLSO braces
• Perform ongoing assessment and coordinate care with the team
• Use safe patient handling equipment and support mobility needs

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• Progressive care, neuro and trauma care experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
