Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide cardiac step-down care in a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit has 40 beds, typical ratios of 1:4, and uses Cerner. It cares for patients with CHF, MI, arrhythmias, DKA, and post cardiac procedure needs.

• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac status
• Administer titratable cardiac IV medications and other ordered infusions
• Provide care for progressive care patients with cardiac and medical needs
• Assist with bedside cardioversion and other monitored cardiac procedures
• Care for patients after cardiac cath, stent, pacer, ICD, and ablation procedures
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and care team to support safe patient flow

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Stepdown or progressive care experience
• Telemetry experience
• Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications

• Prostacyclin infusion experience
• Relief charge experience
