Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for postoperative cardiovascular and vascular patients on a progressive care unit in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit uses Cerner and also sees overflow medical cardiology patients with heart failure, DKA, chest pain, sepsis, and heart block.

• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in cardiac status
• Manage chest tubes, epidural care, and tube feedings
• Support IV cardiac drip therapy per unit practice
• Provide postoperative care for cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients
• Assess and coordinate care for medical cardiology overflow patients
• Collaborate with the care team on the plan of care

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• Stepdown experience
• Telemetry experience

• Prior cardiovascular and vascular surgery patient experience
• CVICU experience
