Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for cardiac step-down patients in a hospital unit in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The 40-bed unit uses Cerner charting and serves patients with CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmia, DKA, and post-cardiac procedure needs, with typical ratios of 1:4.

• Monitor telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Administer titratable cardiac IV medications
• Care for CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmia, and DKA patients
• Assist with bedside cardioversion and recovery after cardiac cath, stent, pacer, ICD, and ablation procedures
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and the care team
• Use standard cardiac monitoring and infusion equipment as needed

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Progressive care or step-down experience
• Telemetry experience
• Experience with titratable cardiac IV medications

• Prostacyclin experience
• Relief charge experience
