Travel PICU RN in Walnut Creek, CA

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care for infants and children in a hospital pediatric intensive care unit on a 26-week contract in Walnut Creek, California. The 8-bed unit uses Epic, serves a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, and is in a level II trauma Magnet hospital with intensivist coverage.

• Assess and monitor critically ill infants and children
• Administer medications, drips, IV therapies, and blood products
• Manage respiratory, neurologic, and hemodynamic care needs
• Assist with ventilated patients and coordinate with respiratory therapy
• Document care, responses, and medication tasks in Epic
• Collaborate with intensivists, surgeons, and families

• Current California Registered Nurse license
• BLS and PALS
• 2+ years of recent PICU experience

• Epic experience
• NRP
