Travel PICU RN in Seattle, WA

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill children in a hospital pediatric intensive care unit for a 13-week contract in Seattle, Washington. The unit serves infants, pediatrics, and adolescents, averages 2 patients daily, and uses Epic.

• Monitor pediatric critical care patients and respond to changes in condition
• Manage ventilator support, CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy care, and breathing treatments
• Assist with chest tube care, drains, and wound vac management
• Administer blood products and support central line, PICC, and port access
• Monitor CVP, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and assist with procedure sedation
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, and other support services

• Active Washington Registered Nurse license or compact license
• BLS and PALS
• 2 years of PICU experience
• Pediatric dosage calculations and pediatric critical care skills
• Ventilator, tracheostomy, chest tube, and central line care experience

• NRP
• CRRT
• Previous charge experience
• Epic experience
