Travel Phlebotomist in Santa Rosa, CA

A Travel Phlebotomist Certified Phlebotomy Technician will collect blood specimens and support laboratory testing in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Santa Rosa, California. The unit serves adolescents, adults, pediatrics and geriatrics in a level II trauma center, with preferred exposure to neonates and infants and Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Collect blood specimens using syringe, vacutainer and handheld collection devices
• Perform finger sticks and heel sticks as needed
• Provide post-venipuncture site care and monitor collection sites
• Label specimens accurately and support lab processing
• Document collection details in Epic
• Work with patients across pediatric to geriatric age groups

• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification
• BLS certification
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel experience

• Beaker charting experience
• Neonate and infant specimen collection
• Trauma level I experience
• Trauma level II experience
