Travel Phlebotomist in Mission Viejo, CA

A Travel Phlebotomist, Certified Phlebotomy Technician I, will collect blood specimens and support laboratory workflows in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Mission Viejo, California. The unit serves neonates and uses Epic charting.

• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary methods
• Perform heel sticks, finger sticks, and blood cultures
• Follow aseptic technique and order of draw standards
• Prepare, label, and transport specimens for testing
• Use Epic and handheld devices to document collections
• Monitor specimen quality and address collection issues

• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I license
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience
• Epic charting experience
• Prior travel experience
• Aseptic technique and blood collection skills

• Trauma center experience
• Handheld Rover device experience
• BLS
