Travel Phlebotomist in Marina Del Rey, CA

A Travel Laboratory Phlebotomist will collect and process specimens in an acute care hospital for a 13-week contract in Marina Del Rey, California. Epic is used for charting, and the role supports specimen handling in a busy hospital lab unit.

• Collect venous and capillary specimens using approved techniques
• Label, transport, and process specimens for laboratory testing
• Prioritize stat, timed, and routine collections
• Perform finger sticks and heel sticks
• Follow aseptic practice, standard precautions, and specimen handling standards
• Support blood cultures, coagulation tubes, and specimen storage

• High school diploma or GED
• Phlebotomy certificate
• Current CPT certification
• BLS
• 1 year hospital experience
• Community hospital experience
• Epic charting system experience

• CPT I, CPT II, and PBT
• ABG collection
• Quality assurance and controls
• Teaching hospital or trauma level I or II experience
