Travel Operating Room Tech in Hardin, MT

A Travel Laboratory Technician or Technologist Clinical Laboratory Scientist will prepare and test specimens in a hospital laboratory on a 13-week contract in Hardin, Montana. The laboratory includes microbiology and immunohematology and uses automated analyzers for routine and manual testing. Independent work and cooperation across departments are important.

• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing
• Operate automated analyzers
• Perform manual tests following detailed instructions
• Evaluate test results
• Maintain quality control, proficiency testing and quality assurance
• Support new procedure setup and performance improvement work
• Work across laboratory sections and with other departments

• Current Montana Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
• ASCP certification or equivalent
• Degree in biology or chemistry
• Knowledge of routine laboratory procedures, CLIA and HIPAA
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively

• Microbiology and immunohematology experience
• Computer and specialized analyzer experience
• Experience setting up new laboratory procedures
