A Travel Neurology Registered Nurse will provide safe care for neurology patients in an acute care hospital unit on a 26-week contract in Des Moines, Iowa.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess neurologic status and report changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor patients for acute neurologic deterioration and escalate concerns
- Collaborate with providers on individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on recovery and safety
- Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately
- Support safe admission, transfer, and discharge processes
Qualifications
- Active Iowa Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program
