Travel Electrophysiology Lab RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Electrophysiology Lab Registered Nurse will support a hospital cath lab on a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The unit serves adults and geriatrics, uses Epic, and sits in a Magnet, Level II trauma hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor patients during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Circulate cath lab and special procedures cases
• Manage IV access, infusions, medications, and emergency drugs
• Track dysrhythmias, hemodynamics, and procedural sedation
• Support invasive lines, IABP care, and device-based procedures
• Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions

• Alaska Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 2 years of electrophysiology or cath lab experience
• Epic charting experience
• Diagnostic and interventional cath lab skills, including PCI, left and right heart catheterization, cardiac stent placement, hybrid OR support, and interventional radiology
• Hemodynamic and sedation monitoring skills, including end-tidal CO2, procedural sedation, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Medication and vascular support skills, including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, blood products, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, reversal agents, and IV starts
• Special procedure and safety skills, including IABP placement/removal, laser-assisted procedures, rotablator atherectomy, infection prevention, isolation precautions, IV infusion pumps, and neurologic thrombolysis

• ACT monitoring and sheath removal
• Impella insertion support
• Pediatric diagnostic and interventional cath lab exposure
• Angiography, embolization, and endovascular procedure experience
