About this job

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in a high-acuity emergency department on a 13-week contract in Springfield, Massachusetts. The unit serves behavioral health, boarding, emergency, and critically ill patients, with typical 1:6 ratios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage and stabilize mixed-acuity emergency patients
  • Monitor behavioral health, boarding, and critically ill patients
  • Administer medications and support emergency interventions
  • Coordinate care with physicians and ancillary staff
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
  • Respond to rapid changes in condition and prioritize care

Qualifications

  • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency department or ICU experience
  • Strong critical care and emergency nursing skills
