Travel ED RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital emergency care center on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit uses Cerner charting and typically sees medical patients and behavioral holds with 4:1 ratios and higher ratios for behavioral holds. It serves a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.

• Triage emergency department patients and prioritize care
• Assess and stabilize medical and behavioral hold patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and response to treatment
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Coordinate care with providers and support staff
• Document care accurately in Cerner
• Support respectful patient communication and education

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS before start
• ENPC within 90 days of hire
• 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in the emergency department
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department
• Teamwork, flexibility, and real-time coaching skills
