Travel ED RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in a busy emergency department in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit has 101 beds, uses Cerner, and serves medical and behavioral hold patients with 4:1 ratios, up to 7:1 on behavioral holds. It supports a comprehensive stroke center and Magnet-designated hospital.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients
• Assess medical and behavioral hold patients
• Monitor cardiac status, vital signs, and response to treatment
• Administer emergency medications and support infusions
• Coordinate care with providers and ancillary staff
• Document care in Cerner and update patient status
• Apply de-escalation and patient experience practices

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS before start
• ENPC within 90 days of hire
• 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in an emergency department
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• Strong teamwork and real-time coaching skills

• Experience in a large integrated health system emergency department
