Travel ED RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in a hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit uses Cerner, typically staffs 4:1, and may reach 7:1 for behavioral holds.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients
• Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and IV therapy
• Assess and stabilize trauma and stroke patients
• Support behavioral health holds and de-escalation
• Coordinate care with physicians and team members
• Document care in the electronic chart

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS before starting
• ENPC within 90 days of hire
• 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in an emergency department
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high-volume emergency department
• Teamwork, real-time coaching, and feedback skills; flexibility across all areas of the emergency department

• Prior experience in a similar emergency department setting
