Travel DOU RN in Knoxville, TN

A Travel Direct Observation Unit Registered Nurse will care for adult and geriatric telemetry patients in an acute care hospital for a 13-week contract in Knoxville, Tennessee. The unit uses remote continuous tele monitoring, typical ratios of 1:5 to 1:7, and Cerner charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips
• Perform assessments and document patient status
• Maintain IV access, central lines, and PICCs
• Provide oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support
• Support wound care, drains, and hemodialysis needs
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team

• Active unencumbered Tennessee or multistate Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 2 years of comparable acute care hospital experience
• Cerner charting experience

• NIHSS
• Port access and management
• Pacemaker and cardiac catheterization care
• Teaching hospital or Trauma Level I experience
