Travel Behavioral Health RN in Arlington, VA

A Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will provide inpatient care for adults and geriatrics in Arlington, Virginia on a 13-week contract. The unit has 18 beds, an average daily census of 13, and serves patients with anxiety, mood, psychotic, substance use, trauma-related, personality, and suicidal concerns.

• Assess behavioral health status and safety needs
• Complete frequent patient rounding and observe for changes in condition
• Administer medications and monitor responses
• Use de-escalation techniques to support a therapeutic environment
• Assist with seclusion and restraint interventions per policy
• Collaborate with the care team and document nursing care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 2 years of inpatient behavioral health and substance use experience
• 6-patient assignment experience

• MOAB
• Behavior management techniques
• De-escalation techniques
• Charge experience
