Travel Behavioral Health RN in Arlington, VA

A Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will care for adults in an inpatient behavioral health unit on a 13-week contract in Arlington, Virginia. The unit has 18 beds, an average daily census of 13, and a 6:1 patient ratio. Patients include anxiety, bipolar, depressive, psychotic, substance use, suicidal ideation, and trauma-related disorders.

• Monitor patient safety and behavioral status
• Complete 15-minute safety rounds
• Support de-escalation and crisis response
• Assist with seclusion and restraint interventions
• Administer ordered medications and treatments
• Document assessments, responses, and care plans

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• 2 years of inpatient behavioral health experience
• Substance use or chemical dependency experience
• Experience caring for 6 patients at a time

• MOAB certification
• Crisis intervention and assaultive behavior management
• Seclusion, restraint, and physical hold experience
• Behavioral health medication administration
