Travel Anesthesia Tech in Portland, OR

A Travel Anesthesia Tech will support anesthesia providers in an acute care hospital during a 13-week contract in Portland, Oregon. The unit serves adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in surgical services with cancer resection, reconstruction, and endovascular hybrid cases. Epic charting is used.

• Prepare anesthesia equipment, circuits, and monitors for cases
• Assist with anesthesia machine checks, troubleshooting, and room setup
• Support airway management, intubation setup, and emergency airway response
• Help with arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, and blood draws
• Run point-of-care testing, including ABGs, ACTs, and CBGs
• Manage cell saver setup, specimen handling, and documentation
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, turnover, and infection control

• BLS
• 2 years of anesthesia tech experience
• Community hospital experience
• Prior travel experience
• Anesthesia machine check out and troubleshooting
• Aseptic technique and operating room safety
• Cell saver, arterial line, and airway equipment experience

• ACLS, ASATT, or Cer.A.T.
• Pediatrics or trauma experience
• Vascular access or central venous access experience
• Teaching hospital or Trauma Level I experience
